An unpopular conflict comes to an uncertain end.
I usually yawn at the headlines in the NYTimes - they worry too much about how readers 100 years in the future will read the stories rather than today’s subscribers - but this headline and deck work. I supported this war and while I am glad that a dictator is gone and a democracy is in place, I have my doubts. I won’t share them now because they neither matter nor are they rather original. I will say that I am glad this conflict is over and I hope Iraq can become a solid member and maybe an example in this Arab Spring.
